Brian "BoMac" McIntyre, trainer Terence Crawford (40-0, 31 KOs), is angry with the IBF leadership for depriving his fighter of the status of the absolute welterweight champion.

A few days ago, the International Boxing Federation stripped Crawford of his title, and Jaron Ennis (31-0, 28 KOs) was renamed from interim champion to full champion. Terence still has the WBC, WBA and WBO belts.

“It shows how Terence is continually treated. But we achieved what we wanted and no one can take away from us the fact that Terence was the undisputed welterweight champion. They can take everything else, but they can’t do this, we’ve made history,” said Crawford’s coach, while rejecting Ennis’s candidacy as his closest rival.

“Ennis brings nothing to this fight from his side. Today, Terence is at a point in his career where he can choose his opponents however he wants,” McIntyre added.
