Bellator lightweight champion Usman Nurmagomedov failed a drug test after his fight with Brent Primus. Famous journalist Ariel Helwani reported this on Twitter. He also reported that Nurmagomedov was disqualified for 6 months, and the result of the fight with Primus was cancelled.
The California State Athletic Commission has suspended Usman Nurmagomedov for six months after testing positive for a banned substance following his fight with Brent Primus at Bellator 300, CSAC Executive Director Andy Foster said. Now this victory has been declared invalid...,” Helwani wrote.
He also said that Nurmagomedov would be fined $50,000.
