Two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (26-3, 23 KOs) can fight his next fight on December 23 at a boxing evening organized by Frank Warren in Riyadh. All of Joshua's previous fights took place at Matchroom Boxing events.
Eddie Hearn has confirmed that Joshua has been offered a chance to compete at the December tournament in Saudi Arabia. Current European champion Agit Kabayel is still mentioned among potential opponents.
“We want Joshua to be active and we have received an offer to perform at this evening. There is little time left, so negotiations need to be accelerated. Joshua will return to the ring in December or January, and in the spring we want to fight Deontay Wilder or Francis Ngannou,” Hearn said.
