Aspinall wanted to retire last year

Tom Aspinall, a British UFC heavyweight, admitted that last year he was thinking about retiring from the sport.

“Depressive, terrifying state! For some time I wanted to leave MMA. For a couple of days after the injury, I just didn’t want to continue. I lost contact with everything and everyone. This is not cool... It’s terrible to lie on the floor in front of 22 thousand of your fans, not being able to move because of a bad knee,” the fighter said.

Let us remind you that on November 12, Aspinall will fight with Sergei Pavlovich. At stake in this fight will be the UFC interim heavyweight title.
