Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. was admitted to a psychiatric hospital

On October 24, Chavez Jr.'s 37-year-old wife, Frida Chavez, contacted the police asking for help. She was concerned about her husband's condition, as he had taken a large number of strong drugs. She also sought medical help. In accordance with the law, doctors forced the former champion to undergo 72 hours of observation in a psychiatric hospital.

“I feel sorry for my son. He has small children and he can’t enjoy it at all. “I’m afraid he’s going to go crazy or have a heart attack because of all the pills he’s taking,” Chavez Sr. said.
