Bivol named the condition under which he will change weight category

Dmitry Bivol, the WBA light heavyweight world champion, commented on his manager’s words that he could change weight category for big fights.

“When I perform, my weight is 185 pounds maximum. In normal life I weigh about 190 pounds. Going down to 175 won't be difficult. I'm just starting training camp and my weight is coming down. I feel like I can pack more, but I just don’t want to. I remember doing this during my amateur days. Then I only thought about food and water, but not about fighting. Of course, if there is a good reason to go down to 168 pounds, and if it comes to a fight for the belt, I will try my best. “I will do 168, but if there is a good reason,” the boxer said.

Let us remind you that the promoter previously announced the date of Bivol’s next fight, saying that he will return to the ring in January.
