Team Chris Eubank Jr. (33-3, 24 KOs) sent a letter to the WBO management with an unusual request. The Briton told the World Boxing Organization that he does not want to be selected for qualifying fights or a world title fight in the coming months.

Eubank is ranked number one in the WBO middleweight rankings. The champion belt holder in this weight category is Zhanibek Alimkhanuly.

The Briton told the WBO that the fights planned by the Organization do not fit into his immediate plans. Eubank is expected to return to the ring in January, crossing the gloves with Conor Benn. The contract for this fight will include a mutual rematch clause.
