Jorge Linares (47-9, 29 KO) decided to end his eventful career after yesterday's loss to Jack Catterall (28-1, 13 KOs).

The Venezuelan began to become a big star more than 15 years ago when he defeated Oscar Larios to win the WBC featherweight title. Then there were titles in the second featherweight and lightweight divisions, but after that the “Golden Child” could not achieve more.

“I came to the UK to enjoy boxing. Yes, that was my last fight. I love boxing, I like working out in the gym. Maybe I can help coach Ismael Salas, maybe I’ll open my own gym. "I have a lot of opportunities - I can also work in television," said Linares, whose record includes victories over Jesus Chavez, Anthony Crolla, Luke Campbell and Kevin Mitchell, among others.
