It appears that without the massive funding recently offered by investors from Saudi Arabia, the battle between Anthony Joshua (26-3, 23 KOs) and Deontay Wilder (43-2-1, 42 KOs) will be impossible to organize. Eddie Hearn, the British fighter's promoter, when asked what would happen next with the fight, which was announced many months ago, made it clear that it was no longer a priority for him.

“They made us an offer, which we accepted [but ultimately rejected]. “It’s not my fault that financial alternatives don’t even come close to this, so we have to consider other options,” admitted the head of Matchroom Boxing. “We could have a potential fight for the IBF belt with Hrgovic or Wallin, so we’re not interested in Wilder, that’s his problem.”

“Wilder hasn’t fought in a year and his last fight lasted 40 seconds. In my opinion, he doesn’t want to box,” added Eddie Hearn.

According to the latest data, Anthony Joshua may return to action at the turn of December and January. It is still unknown who the Briton’s rival will be.
