Frank Warren announced that Queensberry Promotions will appeal the decision of the WBA, which rejected the protest regarding the fight for the world heavyweight title between Alexander Usik (21-0, 14 KOs) and Daniel Dubois (19-2, 18 KOs).

The British camp did not agree with the decision of the referee, who considered that the blow that sent the Ukrainian to the floor in the fifth round was struck below the belt. Warren is confident that the punch was correct and that the fight should have been won by Dubois.

“We do not agree with this decision and will use all possible means to protect the rights and interests of our boxer. "We still have a few options," Warren said.

The Usyk-Dubois fight became the main event of the boxing evening in Wroclaw. Boxers fought for the WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight championship belts.
