The Philippine government supported Pacquiao's participation in the 2024 Olympic Games

Abraham Tolentino, head of the Philippine Olympic Committee, said that the organization has sent an official request to the IOC regarding the possibility of participation Manny Pacquiao in the 2024 Olympic Games.

“The answer may come in April. This is a long process. The board of directors will consider it,” the functionary said.

Tolentino also added that a refusal may come from the IOC due to rules regarding the age of the athlete (not older than 40 years).
