UFC CEO Dana White commented on the organization of the fight between the former interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson and Paddy Pimblett, which will take place on December 16 at the UFC 296 tournament in Las Vegas.

“Many people believe that Pimblett has not yet been tested and this is not such a difficult challenge for Tony compared to his last fights. So I think this is great matchmaking. Ferguson has looked amazing in each of his last fights, this will be an interesting fight.

Will Ferguson retire if he loses? I would let Tony make those decisions himself, but if he loses, he'll probably think about it. He had a great career. Tony has achieved a lot, fought a lot of good fights. I hope he ends with this,” MMA Junkie quotes White as saying.
