Caleb Plant (22-2, 13 KOs) and Jermall Charlo (32-0, 22 KOs) had a little fight at the end of July somewhere in the corridor, being guests of the Crawford-Spence evening. The former world super middleweight champion is eager to finish this fight in the ring.

“I’m looking forward to a fight with Charlo, we have to make it happen. There are some differences between us that we need to resolve, but the most important thing is that it will be a good fight for the fans and they will be excited to see it. That’s why I want to meet Charlo now,” said Plant, who decided to revisit the incident two months ago.

“My actions were purely self-defense. And when I slapped Charlo, there were a lot of his Texas buddies around. You can’t let someone insult you the way he insulted me,” added the former IBF champion at 76.2 kilograms. Charlo hasn't fought in 27 months, and yet he still occupies the WBC middleweight throne.
