Shevchenko: “A draw with Grasso will not affect my legacy”

Former UFC flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko I am sure that an unsuccessful attempt to regain the championship title in a rematch with Alexa Grasso did not tarnish her resume in any way.

On September 17, in the main event of UFC Fight Night 227, Grasso and Shevchenko split amicably. The draw retained the title of champion for the representative of Mexico.

“I was not defeated, but, unfortunately, according to the rules of the fight, a draw left Grasso’s belt. I think it won't affect my legacy because the truth is behind me. The whole world, 20 thousand spectators at the T-Mobile arena watched the fight and saw the result. They know the truth,” Shevchenko said on The MMA Hour.
