Famous boxing coach Teddy Atlas commented on the result of the rematch between the UFC flyweight champion Alexa Grasso And Valentina Shevchenko.
Atlas praised the girls for their amazing performance, but, as usual, criticized the judges who officiated this confrontation.
“One wanted to keep the title, and the other wanted to return it. Both fighters were great.
On my notes I was leading with a score of 3-2 in rounds in favor of Shevchenko, but in any case it was very close. They fought and conducted themselves like champions. It's a pity that there will now be controversy. Still, 10-8 in the 5th round is inappropriate. It turns out that this happens not only in my sport, boxing, when judges can put an end to a great and intriguing fight.
As I said, it's not about what the fighters do, but about what the people serving the fight do. And again the fighters did their job, and the judges ruined everything. Fighters are tested on many parameters, perhaps it’s time to test the judges too,” Atlas wrote on social networks.
