Makabu-Gevor November 4 for vacant WBC title?

On November 4th in Miami there could be a fight between Ilungoi Makabu (29-3, 25 KOs) and Noel Gevor Mikaelyan (26-2, 11 KOs). The promotional organization Don King Promotions, which will be responsible for hosting this event, claims that the fight will be for the vacant WBC world heavyweight title.

Since February, the World Boxing Council belt in this division has been held by Badou Jack, whom the media recently predicted as the opponent of Lukasz Ruzanski, the WBC champion in the bridger category. At the moment, however, it has not been officially confirmed that the Swede will renounce his title.

The main event of the November boxing evening in Miami will be a fight between former four-division world champion Adrien Broner (35-4-1, 24 KOs) and Chris Howard (18-2-1, 8 KOs).
