Former Bellator champion explains why he left his belt vacant

Former Bellator Light Heavyweight Champion Vadim Nemkov explained why he decided to give up the belt and move up in weight.

“One: I was offered a rematch with Corey Anderson and Phil Davis, I don’t like endless rematches. Second: it’s already getting hard to lose weight, I’m already 31 years old. After talking with the doctors, I decided to switch to a different weight, the doctors said: a couple more weight races, and you can finish with the sport. Opponent in the new weight? Not yet, unknown. I would like to fight with him for the belt and become a heavyweight champion. He defeated Moldavsky, Emelianenko, this is an additional motivation for me.”
