Sterling: O'Malley only had one real opponent and that was Ian

UFC Bantamweight Champion Aljamain Sterling expressed confidence that one of the main factors that will determine the outcome of his upcoming fight with Sean O'Malley, is their level of opposition.

Their meeting will headline the UFC 292 tournament, which will take place on August 19 in Boston.

“To be frank, for the entire time of his performances, he had only one worthy opponent, who is still in the UFC and whom he beat only by a split decision, this is Petr Yan. Everyone else is no longer in the organization.

Look at my track record, everything is still in place, I beat a lot of high quality guys and it all brought me here and made me strong. And it will become clear on the day of the fight,” Sterling said in an interview with TMZ.
