Hrgovic: I thought I'd stop McKean in the sixth round

Mandatory contender for IBF heavyweight title Filip Hrgovic discussed his victory in the battle against the Australian Damsey Mckina.

"I am satisfied. The fact that he held me back a lot made the fight a little nasty. The referee should have deducted at least one point from him. He held me back too much. But Makkin is a good, brave, well-trained fighter.

I controlled the fight and won most of the rounds. I thought I would knock him out in the sixth round, but he did very well. McKean is a worthy fighter. I was surprised that he took good hits, continued to go forward and beat himself, ”WBN quoted Hrgovic as saying.

Recall that on August 12 in London, Hrgovic defeated McKean by technical knockout in the 12th round.
