Lapin-Schwartz on Usyk-Dubois undercard

On August 26, at the Tarczynski Arena stadium in Wroclaw, a fight for the IBO Continental Light Heavyweight belt will take place between Daniel Lapin (7-0, 1 KO) and Aro Schwartz (20-6-1, 13 KOs).

Lapin, 26, last boxed in April, defeating Emmanuel Feso. For Schwartz, this will be the second appearance in the professional ring in Poland.

“We went through a tough training camp. This is my first title fight in my career and I plan to show a high level of boxing. An experienced opponent from Germany has already boxed for titles more than once. My goal is to become the absolute champion, and we are making every effort to this process!” said Daniel.

“I have an example and a very powerful motivation in the person of Oleksandr Usyk. I am very grateful to him for the opportunity to make my dreams come true!” Lapin added.

The main event of the Wroclaw tournament will be the fight between Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) and Daniel Dubois (19-1-0, 18 KOs) for the IBF, WBA and WBO heavyweight titles. Dubois will take part in this fight as a regular WBA champion and the official challenger appointed by the World Boxing Association to fight Usyk. A boxer from Ukraine will perform for the first time after two victories over Anthony Joshua.

During the same boxing evening, fans will also see the fight for the WBC Silver middleweight title between Hamza Shiraz (17-0, 13 KOs) and Dmitry Mitrofanov (13-0-1, 6 KOs), the fight for the WBO International lightweight title between Denis Berinchyk (17-0, 9 KOs) and Anthony Yigit (27-3-1, 10 KOs), fight between Yaroslav Khartsyz (2-0, 2 KOs) and Konrad Tchaikovsky (2-0-1, 1 KOs), confrontation between Alexander Solomennikov (12-0, 7 KOs) and Petr Gudel (10-10-1, 1 KO), the performance of Fedor Cherkashin (22-0, 14 KOs), as well as the professional debut of Adam Hamed.
