Riakpo appointed as mandatory challenger for Opetaya

Richard Riakpo (16-0, 12 KOs) officially appointed by the IBF as a contender for the fight with the world heavyweight champion Jaem Opetaya (22-0, 17 KOs). The boxing teams have 30 days to agree on the organization of the fight.

The section of the total stake in the possible tender is set at 65 to 35 in favor of the Australian. Earlier, Mateusz Masternak from Poland was appointed as a contender for the duel with Opetaya.

Riakpo in his last professional performance won ahead of schedule against Krzysztof Głowacki. Recently, there have been rumors that the Briton will return to the ring on August 5 in London. Opetaya hasn't boxed since last year's win over Mairis Briedis.
