Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs) loves to give gifts to those he likes. He gave his third fight to Derek Chisora for a lot of money, and now he is ready to do the same with Joseph Parker (31-3, 21 KOs).
The New Zealander, a good friend of the WBC heavyweight champion and his frequent sparring partner, will face Faiga Opelu (15-3-2, 11 KOs) on Wednesday. The "Gypsy King" flew to Australia to cheer for Joseph, and perhaps they will soon meet in the ring in a face-to-face fight.
“Me and Tyson Fury are like brothers, he is my friend, but if he gives me a chance, I will definitely fight him for the WBC belt,” Parker said last week.
“In the coming days, we will look for a place for my next fight. Australia has always had crazy and wonderful fans, so it would be great to play here. In a few weeks, we will learn much more. I want to fight in the UK and America, but as a world champion I would like to fight on different continents. Parker supported me in various fights, now I decided to support him. And if he wins the next fight, maybe I will fight him for the WBC belt in Australia,” Fury said.
