A month ago Chris Arreola (39-7-1, 34 KOs) and Frank Sanchez (22-0, 15 KOs) won quick wins in their regular fights, earning $25,000 each. According to the plans of their promoters, it was supposed to be just a warm-up before the face-to-face meeting, and the Cuban confirms that Arreola will be his next opponent.

Sanchez recently returned under the wing of trainer Eddie Reynoso and his Canelo-affiliated team. The break in this cooperation lasted a year.

“I agreed to the fight with Daniel Marz to remove the rust before the fight with Arreola. I needed a training cycle and a spectacular knockout, that's what we wanted. I have a meeting with Arreola ahead of me, which, I hope, will lead me to even greater trials. We are waiting for the date and big fights to take place after the victory over Arreola, ”said the Cuban heavyweight, who occupies a high position in the world rankings (WBC # 4, IBF # 7, WBO # 3).

“Reynoso and Canelo convinced me that one day I would be world champion. Now they are glad to see me back, even though I never really left them, it was just a break. So we're moving forward towards the heavyweight title," Sanchez added.
