Jaime Munguia (41-0, 33 KOs) left his WBO junior middleweight belt vacant and continues his career in the middleweight category, where he has already won seven fights, including six ahead of schedule. But only the next fight in the new weight category will become a truly serious test for the Mexican.

On June 10 at the Toyota Arena in Ontario, California, Munguia will face Sergey Derevyanchenko (14-4, 10 KOs), whose track record includes meetings with Gennady Golovkin, Germall Charlo and Daniel Jacobs.

“The fight will be very tense from start to finish,” Munguya had already promised.
