Regis Prograis (28-1, 24 KOs), a two-time and current world super lightweight champion, was a free agent and was a tidbit for all serious promoters. As a result, the WBC belt holder chose Eddie Hearn.

The contract has not yet been officially signed, but the Matchroom Boxing offer turned out to be the most profitable, according to the boxer himself. From now on, the fights of the 34-year-old fighter from Texas will be shown on the DAZN platform.

Prograis also had a serious offer from Bob Arum and his Top Rank stable, but it was a long-term contract. Hearn came up with another proposal. He offered a deal where Prograis would fight three matches for Matchroom and become a free agent again. Allegedly, this was to convince the boxer to choose a British promoter. Previously, Prograis was associated with the promotional organization Probellum.

Regis won the vacant World Boxing Council belt in late November by knocking out José Cepeda in the eleventh round. In the summer, he will hold his first defense, but it is not yet known who will be his next opponent.
