Hearn confirms heavyweight tournament possibility

Eddie Hearn, in an interview with IFL TV, confirmed rumors that an investor has appeared who would like to organize a heavyweight tournament with the participation of the best boxers in the world at an evening in December in Saudi Arabia.

In the semi-finals Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) will face Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs), and Anthony Joshua (25-3, 22 KOs) with Deontay Wilder (43-2-2, 42 KOs). Then the winners of the fights will meet each other in the grand final.

According to the head of Matchroom Boxing, both semi-final fights will take place on the same evening. Hearn estimated the cost of organizing such an event at $400 million.
