Eddie Hearn says he has no intention of resuming negotiations to continue cooperation with former world middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (42-2-1, 37 KOs).

The boxer from Kazakhstan has been working with the British promoter since 2019 and is currently a free agent. After last year's third fight with Saul Alvarez, the contract binding both sides has expired and will not be renewed.

“Golovkin is still famous, and in recent years he has become accustomed to earning a lot of money. But today his name may not be worth so much, and he must understand this, ”said Hearn.

GGG may return to the ring in the summer. Golovkin is one of the candidates for a meeting with Jaime Mungia.
