Teddy Atlas does not share fans' admiration for talent Anthony Joshua (25-3, 22 KOs). In a video posted on his YouTube channel, a prominent boxing analyst stated that AJ is "overrated like Canelo" and perhaps the public's expectations of him are too high.

“Fans can overestimate a boxer because they are fans,” the American expert explained his position. - In the UK, you can drink lemonade, or whatever they drink there is normal, but here we drink something else. I'm sure my job is to analyze such cases."

“This guy was put on a pedestal, but who did he defeat? He won the belt by defeating Charles Martin. He was overturned by 42-year-old Klitschko. He had defense against opponents like Dominic Breazeale who Wilder knocked out in a round or two... Eric Molina, Carlos Takam," Atlas said.

Joshua, who returned to the ring over the weekend with a win over Jermain Franklin, announced today that he won't fight his next fight until December at the earliest.
