In one of his last interviews Gervonta Davis spoke about the upcoming fight with Ryan Garcia April 22 in Las Vegas, what does he think about the "piety" of his future opponent, about a possible meeting with Naoei Inoue, as well as about boxers of the past.

"He preaches his 'I praise God' and all that, but he drinks a lot and gambles a lot," Davis said of Garcia. - Let him not say that he is a God-glorifying person: "I am a saint, I do nothing wrong." Yes, he is a hypocrite. He's a worse person than me!"

“In the first rounds with him, I will first adapt, and then, I will not lie, I will get to the point. I will knock him out in the seventh or eighth round. This fight will show what kind of person he is."

Davis also stated that Stephen Fulton and Naoya Inoue are two of his favorite contemporary boxers, and therefore he intends to attend their fight in Tokyo on July 25. “Perhaps I could someday fight Naoya Inoue at a catchweight. It would be an interesting fight. It would be technically difficult. But I would be too big for him."

“I think the fighters used to be better than they are today. How hard they were, oh my! The way they delivered their blows in those days was something incredible. Modern fighters just suck, they suck. Fighters used to be monsters,” Davis said.
