Former UFC middleweight title contender Paulo Costa said that he had agreed on a new contract with the promotion for four fights.

According to the Brazilian, the league has already offered him to enter the octagon with Sean Strickland and Khamzat Chimaev in 2023. Costa said that the fight with Strickland could take place in May, and with Chimaev on October 21 at UFC 294 in Abu Dhabi.

“I have not signed a contract yet, but we have reached an agreement with the UFC regarding my salary. It was not easy, we did a lot of hard work. I have to commend the excellent work of Tamara (Alves, Costa's girlfriend and manager - ed.). I want to fight Strickland and Chimaev one after the other. The UFC wants to make sure that the fight with Chimaev takes place at any cost, but I want to arrange both fights. Let's see what happens."
