The WBO has officially announced that Jermell Charlo (35-1-1, 19 KOs) must provide information about his state of health within 5 days and specify when he can return to the ring.

The American is the world welterweight champion, and in the next performance in the ring he will have to cross gloves with the interim champion Tim Tszyu (22-0, 16 KOs). If Charlo does not provide the necessary information in a timely manner, he may be stripped of his championship belt.

The fight between Charlo and Tszyu was originally supposed to take place at the end of January, but the boxer from the United States suffered a hand injury at the last stage of preparation. In addition to the WBO championship belt, Charlo also holds the WBC, WBA and IBF titles.
