On March 13, a tender will be held to select the organizer of the fight for the WBA world middleweight title between Gennady Golovkin (42-2-1, 37 KOs) and Erislandy Laroy (29-3-3, 17 KOs).
The winning bet will be divided in the ratio of 75 to 25 in favor of a boxer from Kazakhstan. The minimum amount that promoters can bid on is $200,000.
Golovkin's fight with Lara will be a "unification" fight within the WBA, since at the moment Gennady is the holder of the super champion title, and the Cuban is the usual "regular" champion. However, it is not yet known whether the GGG team will go to this fight at all. Golovkin recently left his other IBF championship belt vacant.
