After a successful last year Dmitry Bivol (21-0, 11 KOs) is looking for new challenges. Eddie Hearn, a promoter who is interested in the Russian, said he was in preliminary talks to fully unify the light heavyweight titles.
Bivol after defeating Canelo and Gilberto Ramirez expressed a desire to meet with Artur Beterbiev (19-0, 19 KOs), IBF, WBC and WBO champion. One of the options for Bivol remains Joshua Buatsy (16-0, 13 KOs), and in September he may expect a rematch with Saul Alvarez (58-2-2, 39 KOs).
“We are negotiating a fight for the unification of all belts between Dmitry and Beterbiev. Such a fight could take place in June in Abu Dhabi. Another option is a meeting with Buatsi,” said the head of Matchroom Boxing.
