Former UFC Lightweight Champion Brazilian Charles Oliveira fight with an American Beneil Dariush May 6 at UFC 288. The venue of the tournament has not yet been announced.
Dariush recently announced that he signed a contract for the fight, and Oliveira today announced the confrontation on social networks. MMA Fighting, citing its own sources, also reports that the parties have signed an agreement for the fight.
Oliveira, 33, will be looking to get back on track after losing the vacant title to Islam Makhachev last October, which ended his 11-fight winning streak.
33-year-old Dariusz has not known the bitterness of defeat since the beginning of 2018. The American has won eight fights in a row, including stoppage wins over Drew Dober, Frank Camacho, Drakkar Klose and Scott Holtzman. In his last two bouts, he defeated former interim champion Tony Ferguson and Mateusz Gamroth by unanimous decision.
