Trading on Ruiz-Hrgovic postponed to February 23

The date of the auction, which will determine the organizer of the fight for the interim IBF heavyweight belt between Andy Ruiz (35-2, 22 KOs) and Filip Hrgovic (15-0, 12 KOs), rescheduled for February 23. It was previously planned that the competition for promotional applications would take place on February 28.

The International Boxing Federation decided to make an exception, because according to its rules, in the case of fights for interim titles, bidding is not held, and in order for such a fight to take place, the parties themselves must come to an agreement.

Hrgovic, 30, became an official contender for the IBF title in August by defeating Zhilei Zhang on points. This was the only performance of a boxer from Croatia last year.

Ruiz defeated Luis Ortiz in his last appearance in the ring. The former world heavyweight champion could also face Deontay Wilder in the WBC eliminator.
