On June 15, Japan will host a rematch between Kazuto Yokoi (29-2-1, 15 KOs) and Joshua Franco (18-1-3, 8 KOs). The first fight of these boxers took place in December and ended in a draw.
At stake in the second fight will be the WBA super flyweight title. To carry out this rematch, Ioka will give up the WBO championship belt.
The World Boxing Organization ordered Ioka to hold a mandatory belt defense against Junto Nakatani. However, the Japanese chose a rematch with Franco and will leave his title vacant.
