Undefeated former two-time WBC super middleweight champion David Benavidez and former IBF super middleweight champion Caleb Plant continued their war of words and almost got into a fight at a tense press conference in Los Angeles on Thursday, ahead of their showdown a little less than two months later, on March 25, in Las Vegas at Premier Boxing Champions.

Both were 76kg champions and both are aiming to climb back to the top of the division by fighting for Benavidez's interim WBC super middleweight title. As the two exchanged insults and the taunts became more personal, the guards had to intervene twice to break them up during their performances.
