McCarthy: Jones will beat Gan on the ground

Former referee and now commentator John McCarthy shared his expectations from the fight for the vacant heavyweight belt between John Jones and Cyril Ganwhich will take place on March 4 at UFC 285 in Las Vegas.

“The problem is that Cyril Gana took down Francis Ngannou. And Jon Jones is far from stupid, he is a very smart fighter. There is another guy on John's team who I consider to be a good and smart coach.

I'm talking about Henry Cejudo. This guy knows a thing or two about wrestling. I think Jones will bring Gan to the ground and beat him systematically," McCarthy said on the Weighing In podcast.
