“It's just business. I don't like making mortal enemies," commented Lawrence Okoli (18-0, 14 KOs) his conflict with current promoter Eddie Hearn.
“Everything was specified in the contract. People lie, but numbers don't. We had a good relationship, but they were never friendly. We did not talk directly, but mainly through the 258 leadership group. I am not looking for enemies for life. I understand their decisions, they understand my decision. I am happy, they are happy, so everything is fine," Okoli said.
Hearn, in turn, represents the whole situation somewhat otherwise.
