Showtime's Saturday night at Washington's Capital One Arena generated over $5 million in ticket revenue. More than 19,000 fans watched the event live from the height of the stands.
The main event of the evening was the fight for the regular WBA lightweight belt between Gervonta Davis (28-0, 26 KOs) and Hector Luis Garcia (16-1, 10 KOs). Boxing fans also saw the newly minted IBF interim welterweight champion Jaron Ennis (30-0, 27 KOs) and former world champion in two weight categories Demetrius Andreid (32-0, 19 KOs).
The evening of boxing was shown in the United States on a pay-per-view broadcast. So far, there is no news about the results of sales of paid programs.
