Moses "Enrico" Ithauma has signed a long-term promotional deal with Frank Warren's Queensberry and is making his professional ring debut at BT Sport. The promising heavyweight has just turned 18. Last month in Spain, he won gold for England at the World Youth Championship. Warren's older brother, Karol, champion of the Youth Olympic Games, is already on Warren's contract.
“About two years ago, I felt that amateur boxing was not quite for me, and I began to grow out of it. I don't consider myself special, but I realized that I was doing well in boxing when I started sparring with Lawrence Okoli when I was 14-15 years old. Then I sparred with Joe Joyce, Daniel Dubois and Anthony Joshua and did not get lost in their background, and perhaps even took over. When I sparred with Joyce and Okoli, I went into the ring in my school uniform, returning straight from school, and almost fell asleep, ”said Moses Itauma.
