Davis says fight with Garcia will take place

Officially confirmed information appeared that the duel scheduled for January 7 between Gervonta Davis (27-0, 25 KOs) and Hector Luis Garcia (16-0, 10 KOs) will take place. This bout will be the main event of Showtime's boxing evening in Washington.

This week, Davis spent several hours behind bars after being arrested on suspicion of battery. The January performance of the American was in jeopardy, but in the end, the fight allegedly will take place according to plan.

In Washington, after more than a year break, former world middleweight champion Demetrius Andrade (31-0, 19 KOs) will also return to the ring, who will meet with Demond Nicholson (26-4-1, 22 KOs). The fans will also see the fight for the interim IBF welterweight title between Jaron Ennis (29-0, 27 KOs) and Karen Chukhajian (21-1, 11 KOs).
