Jaron Ennis (29-0, 27 KOs) and Karen Chukhadzhyan (21-1, 11 KOs) will fight for the interim IBF welterweight title on January 7 at the Premier Boxing Champions tournament in Washington. 25-year-old Ennis knocked out Custio Clayton in May and won the position of the official contender for the belt of the International Boxing Federation. Since Errol Spence, who is a full-fledged IBF champion, is assigned a mandatory defense of the WBC belt, the American will still challenge the interim title.
