Oscar Rivas (28-1, 19 KOs) should soon officially announce his retirement. This is reported by Canadian journalist Jeff Jeffery. The Colombian recently pulled out of a fight scheduled for January Efe Ajagboy due to vision problems.

As of October 2021, Rivas was the WBC world bridge champion. In recent months, there has been talk about his duel with the Pole Lukasz Ruzhansky, which was supposed to take place at the beginning of next year in Poland.

If the Colombian confirms his retirement, the World Boxing Council's 101kg belt will become vacant. Rivas in the professional ring lost only to Dillian Whyte.
