Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jan Blachowicz admits that the title holder in the lightweight division Islam Makhachev may face difficulties in the upcoming duel with Alexander Volkanovski due to the small size of the Australian.
“Sometimes small fighters are difficult to fight because they are hard to grab. They can really have compact and successful dimensions. I think Volkanovski is able to get up from takedowns and stay upright, move, throw punches and set traps,” Blachowicz said in an interview with James Lynch.
Recall that the fight between Makhachev and Volkanovski will headline the UFC 284 tournament, which will be held on February 12 in Perth, Australia.
