Georgian Middleweight UFC Roman Dolidze explained why he challenged the undefeated Swedish welterweight Khamzat Chimaev.

“I think that Khamzat will no longer drop to 170 pounds and move up to the middle division. And then he will need a rating opponent. I think it will be a great opportunity for him to enter the top 10. And for me, it will be an opportunity to share the octagon with an eminent opponent.

I know him, he is a good person. I also respect him as a fighter. Of course, I am here to fight outstanding opponents. I understand how this business works. If you fight with no-names, then you yourself will be like that. And if you fight with respected fighters, then you will rise higher and higher, ”Dolidze quotes MMA Fighting.

Recall that on the night of December 4, Dolidze defeated the Swede Jack Hermansson by technical knockout at UFC on ESPN 42 in Orlando, USA.
