Benavidez Plant March 18 in USA

Interim World Super Middleweight Champion David Benavidez (26-0, 23 KOs) and Caleb Plant (22-1, 13 KOs) will fight on March 18 in the USA. The fight will be shown in the US on Showtime.

In October, Plant defeated Anthony Dirrell ahead of schedule in the World Boxing Council eliminator in the weight category up to 76 kg. The undisputed champion in this division is Saul Alvarez, who is expected to return to the ring in May.

Benavidez, 25, has held the WBC title since May. The American won the title by knocking out David Lemieux. The exact date and venue of the Benavidez-Plant fight should be officially confirmed in the near future.
