Klitschko on the suspension of Russian athletes: “Why should a terrorist country present itself all over the world?”

Former world heavyweight champion, now the mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klichko explained why he considers it right to remove Russian athletes.

“Sport is part of every country. Each athlete represents his country. And sports and big politics have always been close by. There have always been competitions among countries who can collect more Olympic medals. Sport is the presentation of the country. Why should Russia, which is now a terrorist country, present itself all over the world? Sanctions should affect all spheres - not only political or economic, but also sports. We have no questions for the athletes, but questions for their position regarding this senseless war," Klitschko said.
