Munguia knocked out Coria

Former world welterweight champion Jaime Munguia (41-0, 33 KOs) knocked out Gonzalo Coria (21-6, 8 KOs) in the third round in the main fight of the Golden Boy Promotions evening in Guadalajara.

The duel from the first gong turned out to be extremely one-sided. The Argentinean was on the floor already in the second round after the right straight. In the third round, the fight ended after a series of blows to the body.

In his next professional performance, Mungiya may fight WBO middleweight champion Zhanibek Alimkhanuly. Recently, the Mexican was named the official contender for the belt of the World Boxing Organization.
