Freire is not embarrassed by the status of an underdog in a fight with Nurmagomedov

Patricky Freire, the Bellator lightweight champion, commented on the fact that he is considered an underdog in a fight with Usman Nurmagomedov.

“I like to prove to people that they are wrong. When I came to Bellator, it was always the same thing for many years. I was an outsider, but this does not excite me, but rather motivates me. I want to prove that these people are wrong. I had strong opponents from the first fight of my career until now. My first Bellator fight was against Rob McCaulow, the former WEC Champion. No one has given me such a gift as Uthman received."

As a reminder, the fight between Freire and Nurmagomedov will take place on the night of November 18-19 as part of the co-main event of Bellator 288.
